If you're in Crozet, VA, make sure to swing by Fardowners, an American restaurant that has carved a niche for itself in the local culinary scene. Nestled near the historic old train depot, this charming spot not only serves delicious food but also boasts a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.
Reviewers consistently rave about the flavorful burgers and unique options like the vegan chili nachos, which strike a perfect balance between spice and flavor. Mike Pieper enjoyed his no bull burger with added heat, while Kat K fell in love with their house-made ranch dressing, even if ranch isn't usually her thing. Families will feel right at home, as Lisa Devaney highlights how well Fardowners caters to both picky eaters and adults alike, especially during their popular Sunday brunch.
Don’t overlook the red pepper Gouda soup or the onion rings—both have earned high praise. With their craft beers and creative dishes, Fardowners offers a memorable dining experience that's more than just a meal; it's a community gathering. Prepare for a wait during peak hours, but trust us, the rewarding flavors await!

Went out of their way to find out it there was dairy in the breads. No bull burger was very good! I added some hit sauce I bought at the farmers market. The vegan chili on the nachos was very good as well, not too spicy but definitely not bland.

This place is so much fun! I enjoy going here with my kid who is a fussy eater. He finds options on the menu that suit him (burgers or chicken tenders and chicken wings) and I get to also choose from many options. The onion rings are so good! I also like the burgers. Both my son and I love coming for the Sunday brunch as well. I usually start with the Loaded Bloody Mary - pictured here. The eggs Benedict on a biscuit is really great. I also enjoy their Eggs Florentine (pictured here.) Big up for Charley a host and server & all the team! We always feel welcome. This place does get crowded so go early or do expect a wait. The wait is generally reasonable.

Great little spot hidden in the older part of town near the old train depot. Very chill vibe. The food is spot on and they make their own dressings. I am by no means a ranch dressing person...so hear me when I say THE RANCH IS AWESOME. Wife had the black & blue burger. I had the yard bird wrap and we shared the tater skins. Everything was well executed, fresh and MEMORABLE. We will be back. There's a WHOLE MENU of stuff we want to try!

Nice restaurant for a great meal between Skyline Drive and the North Entrance to The Blue Ridge Parkway. Friendly and prompt service. Food portions were ample and well prepared. It's a pleasant surprise to find such a nice place in a small town.

Wonderful brunch location! It was hard to make a decision on their menu because everything looked tasty. The Bloody Mary with candied bacon was on point (although costed more than my breakfast 12) The biscuits and gravy were awesome...the plate could have benefited from more gravy. Fardowners Benedict was great, just a bit dry (more hollandaise please). Lots a great options! Cheers

Fardowners is a great eatery with some great food! I was in the area on vacation and we hit up Fardowners for the second year in a row due to the great experience we had the first time! The atmosphere in Fardowners is chill and relaxed, and the food can be considered top tier, but still in the "bar food" category. Many local beers on tap. The server was absolutely amazing, very friendly and helped us with all our needs! Wait times between sitting, ordering, and receiving drinks was relatively quick. Receiving our food did take considerably longer, however we had a big party and as I understand it, speed of service is not a sticking point in the southern states, so this was a non issue. We started off with appetizers of onion rings and "tatchos", which is basically a nacho platter with tater tots instead of nachos. This is an interesting concept and it didn't take long for our party to devour them. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the onion rings. For a main course, I HIGHLY recommend the Reuben or the Southern Belle, the former being one of the best I've had anywhere! Overall, Fardowners was once again a great experience and will continue to be on my list of "must visits" when I am in the area!
